1996: Disasters

Some of the major disasters that occurred during 1996 follow.
  1. 1.      July 3, Iran: A bus and tanker truck collided in Khuzestan Province, killing at least 21 people.
    2.      July 7, Nepal: A bus fell into the Tinau River in western Nepal, killing at least 27 people.
    3.      July 10, Zimbabwe: A bus crashed into a parked truck loaded with timber near the village of Cashel, near the Mozambique border, killing 14 people.
    4.      July 15, Mexico: Seventeen people were killed when a speeding bus lost control on a rainy highway and fell down an embankment, 65 miles northwest of Mexico City.
    5.      July 17, China: A bus traveling between Muli and Xichang in Sichuan Province plunged into a ravine, killing 43 people.
