Gilas Pilipinas in Wildcards OQT against 17 teams to qualify the Road to Rio Olympic 2016

October 14, 2015 the Philippine Basketball Association PBA announced their full support with Samahan ng Basketball ng Pilipinas SBP to prepare our national team, Gilas Pilipinas in the next year wildcard tournament that will be on July 04 - 10, 2016 after shortening in the 2015 FIBA ASIA Championship in China taking silver place next to host. This wildcard tournament will earn the last three (3) remaining spots for 2016 FIBA Olympic Qualifying Tournament (OQT).

The 2015 FIBA Asia Championship is a qualifier for the Rio 2016 Olympic Games.

2. 2nd, 3rd and 4th place teams earn spots for 2016 FIBA Olympic Qualifying Tournament (OQT)
