PAGASA, one of the attached agencies of the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) under its Scientific and Technical Services Institutes, is mandated to “provide protection against natural calamities and utilize scientific knowledge as an effective instrument to insure the safety, well being and economic security of all the people, and for the promotion of national progress.”  (Section 2, Statement of Policy, Presidential Decree No. 78; December 1972 as amended by Presidential Decree No. 1149; August 1977)

Northeast Monsoon affecting Northern and Central Luzon.

Weather Condition:

Northeast Monsoon will bring Cloudy skies with scattered rains and isolated thunderstorms in Bicol Region and Quezon province. Impacts: Possible flash floods or landslides due to light to moderate with at times heavy rains

Northeast Monsoon will also bring Cloudy skies with light rains in Cordillera Administrative Region, Cagayan Valley and Aurora and has no significant impact.

Metro Manila, Ilocos Region and the rest of Central Luzon will experience Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains due to Northeast Monsoon.

Rest of the country will experience Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers due to Localized thunderstorms.
