PAGASA Weather Update for TS "INDAY" as of 11:00 PM 19 July 2018.

ISSUED AT:11:00 PM, 19 July 2018 


"INDAY" HAS SLIGHTLY INTENSIFIED AS IT MOVES NORTH-NORTHEASTWARD OVER THE PHILIPPINE SEA.

Location of eye/center: At 10:00 PM today, the center of Tropical Storm "INDAY" was estimated based on all available data at 1,055 km East of Basco, Batanes (21.9 °N, 132.0 °E)
Strength: Maximum sustained winds of 80 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 95 kph
Forecast Movement: moving North Northeast at 15 kph
Forecast Positions: 24 Hour(Tomorrow evening): 920 km East Northeast of Basco, Batanes(23.9°N, 130.1°E)
48 Hour(Saturday evening):880 km North Northeast of Basco, Batanes (OUTSIDE PAR)(27.8°N, 125.1°E)
72 Hour(Sunday evening): 1,180 km North of Basco, Batanes (OUTSIDE PAR)(30.9°N, 120.0°E)
The Southwest Monsoon (Habagat) enhanced by Tropical Storm "INDAY" will bring intermittent moderate to heavy monsoon rains over Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, Zambales and Bataan, and scattered light to moderate with at times heavy rains over Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon until Saturday (21 July).

Residents of these areas, especially those living in low-lying and mountainous areas are advised to take appropriate actions against possible flooding and landslide, coordinate with local disaster risk reduction and management offices, and continue monitoring for updates.

Sea travel remains risky over the eastern seaboard of Northern Luzon and the seaboard of Central Luzon due to rough to very rough seas associated with the Southwest Monsoon and Tropical Storm "INDAY".
