PAGASA Weather Update for Tropical Depression "Neneng" & Typhoon {Mangkhut} as of 4:00 AM 11 September 2018.

At 3:00 AM today, the center of Tropical Depression "Neneng" was estimated based on all available data at 275 km West Northwest of Basco, Batanes (21.0°N, 119.4°E)(OUTSIDE PAR) with maximum sustained winds of 60 km/h near the center and gustiness of up to 75 km/h. It is moving West Southwest at 20 km/h. TROPICAL DEPRESSION "NENENG" HAS SLIGHTLY INTENSIFIED AND IS NOW OUTSIDE THE PHILIPPINE AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY (PAR).  

Typhoon "Mangkhut" (to be called OMPONG if enter PAR)
- at 4:00 AM today, the eye of Typhoon "MANGKHUT" was located based on all available data at 1,820 km East of Southern Luzon with maximum sustained winds of up to 160 km/h and gustiness of up to 195 km/h. It is moving West at 30km/h. This typhoon is expected to enter the PAR tomorrow (Wednesday, 12 September).

Forecast Weather Condition:

Batanes will experience occasional rains with gusty winds TD "Neneng".  Possible floodings and landslides due to ligt to moderate with at times heavy rains and thunderstorms.

Babuyan Group of Islands, Ilocos Provinces, CAR and Cagayan Valley will experience cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorm due to Trough of TD "Neneng".  Possible floodings and landslides due to scattered rains and thunderstorms.

Metro Manila and rest of the country will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers due to Localized Thunderstorms.  Possible flash floods and landslides due to severe thunderstorm
