DOST-PAGASA Weather Update as of 4:00 AM 18 October 2018.

Synopsis: Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) affecting Palawan, Visayas, and Mindanao.        

Regional Weather Forecast


National Capital Region Metro Manila and the rest of NCR-PRSD forecast areas will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms. Light to moderate winds coming from east will prevail and becoming southwest to west over Zambales and Bataan. The coastal waters along these areas will be slight to moderate.

Norther Luzon - Bahagyang maulap hanggang sa maulap na kalangitan na may pulu-pulong mga pag-ulan dulot ng lokal na mga pagkidlat-pagkulog ang inaasahan sa mga lalawigan ng Batanes, Cagayan, Isabela, Nueva Vizcaya, Quirino, Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, La Union, Pangasinan, Abra, Apayao, Benguet, Mt. Province, Ifugao, Kalinga at Aurora.

Southern Luzon - Bahagyang mapanganuron sundo sa mapanganuron na kalangitan na may pulo-pulong mga pag-uran o pagkikilat-pagdaguldol ang iiral sa Kabikulan, Norteng Samar, Oriental Mindoro, Romblon, asin Marinduque. Maluya sundo sa moderatong duros na haling norte-sirangan ang mamatian, na may banayad sundo sa moderatong pag-alon ning kadagatan.

Visayas: Central & Western Visayas and Palawan will have cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms due to ITCZ. Occidental Mindoro and the rest of Visayas will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms.  Light to moderate winds from the Northeast to East will prevail over Visayas, Palawan  and Occidental Mindoro with slight to moderate seas.

Mindanao - Mindanao will have cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms due to Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ). Light to moderate winds coming from the Northeast to Northwest and the coastal waters will be slight to moderate.
