PAGASA Public Weather Forecast Update for TYPHOON ROSITA as of 2:00 PM 30 October 2018.

Synopsis:  TYPHOON "ROSITA" IS NOW IN THE VICINITY OF SABLAN BENGUET AND IS HEADING TOWARDS LA UNION.

• "ROSITA" will traverse over Benguet, La Union and Pangasinan.
• Stormy weather over the areas under TCWS No. 3 & 2. Travel by land is risky over these areas.
• Moderate to heavy rains directly associated with the Typhoon over Northern and Central Luzon. Residents in these areas, especially those living near river channels, in low-lying areas and mountainous areas, are advised to take appropriate actions against possible flooding and landslides, coordinate with the local disaster risk reduction and management offices. 
• Storm surge of up to 3 meters is possible over the coastal areas of Ilocos Sur, Ilocos Norte, La Union and Pangasinan.
• Fisherfolks and those with small seacrafts are advised not to venture out over the seaboards of areas with TCWS and the eastern and western seaboards of Southern Luzon. 
• Possible exit landmass this afternoon (2:00 to 4:00 PM) and will exit PAR by tomorrow evening (31 Oct.).

• Ifugao, Nueva Vizcaya, Benguet, Mountain Province, Ilocos Sur, Pangasinan and La Union.

#2 (61-120kph expected in 24 hrs)

• Cagayan, Isabela, Quirino, Aurora, Ilocos Norte, Apayao, Abra, Kalinga, Nueva Ecija, Tarlac, Zambales, and Pampanga.

#1 (30-60kph expected in 36 hrs)

• Babuyan group of Islands, Bulacan, Northern Quezon, including Polillo Island, Bataan, Rizal, Metro Manila, Cavite, Laguna, and Batangas.

Location of eye/center: At 1:00 PM today, the eye of Typhoon "ROSITA" was located based on all available data at In the vicinity of Sablan, Benguet (16.5 °N, 120.5 °E)
Strength: Maximum sustained winds of 140 km/h near the center and gustiness of up to 230 km/h
Forecast Movement: Moving West at 20 km/h
