TROPICAL CYCLONE ADVISORY #5 FOR: TYPHOON "WUTIP"

Typhoon WUTIP has slightly weakened as it continues to move slowly.

Location of Center: (10:00 AM today) - The eye of Typhoon "WUTIP" was estimated based on all available data at 1,970 km East of Central Luzon (OUTSIDE PAR)(15.0°N,139.9°E)    Track 

Maximum Sustained Winds: 185 km/h near the center

Gustiness: Up to 225 km/h

Movement: North slowly

Forecast Positions and Intensities: Tomorrow morning

27 February 2019 - 1,870 km East of Central Luzon (OUTSIDE PAR) (15.4°N, 139.0°E) 

Typhoon WUTIP may enter the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) this Thursday (28 February) and it will be named BETTY.  However, it poses no direct threat to any part of the country. The name WUTIP (or butterfly) was contributed by Macao S.A.R. (China).
