TROPICAL DEPRESSION "EGAY" HAS SLIGHTLY WEAKENED AS IT CONTINUES TO MOVE NORTHWESTWARD.
Today, the Southwest Monsoon will bring light to moderate with at times heavy monsoon rains over Metro Manila, Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, Central Luzon, CALABARZON, MIMAROPA, Bicol Region, Antique, Aklan, and western Iloilo, while cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms is expected over the rest of Luzon and Western Visayas.
Residents in the aforementioned areas, especially those living in areas identified to be at high risk of flooding and landslides, are advised to take precautionary measure, coordinate with local disaster risk reduction and management offices, and continue monitoring for updates, especially the Thunderstorm Advisories and Heavy Rainfall Warnings to be issued by PAGASA Regional Services Divisions.
Fisherfolks and those with small seacrafts are advised not to venture out over the seaboards of areas under TCWS #1 due to moderate to rough seas associated with Tropical Depression "EGAY" .
Location of Eye/center: At 4:00 AM today, the center of Tropical Depression "EGAY" was estimated based on all available data at 195 km East Northeast of Aparri, Cagayan or 205 km East of Calayan, Cagayan (18.9 °N, 123.4 °E )
Movement: Moving Northwest at 40 kph
Strength: Maximum sustained winds of 45 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 60 kph
Forecast Position: 24 Hour(Tomorrow morning): 195 km West Northwest of Basco, Batanes(21.4°N, 120.4°E)
