PAGASA Weather Update for Tropical Storm Onyok as of 5:00 PM 28 September 2019.

Issued at 05:00 PM, September 28, 2019 Synposis At 3:00 PM today, the center of Tropical°Storm°"Onyok" was estimated based on all available data at°980 km East Northeast of Baler, Aurora or 945 km East of Tuguegarao City, Cagayan (17.3°N, 130.6°E) with maximum sustained winds of°75 km/h near the center and gustiness of up to°90 km/h. It is moving Northwest at 35 km/h. 
"ONYOK" HAS SLIGHTLY INTENSIFIED AS IT MOVES NORTHWESTWARD. Between today and tomorrow (29 September) afternoon, the trough of "ONYOK" will bring scattered light to moderate rain showers and thunderstorms over Bicol Region and Eastern Visayas. "ONYOK" is less likely to make landfall in the country throughout the forecast period. Furthermore, this weather disturbance may intensify into a Severe Tropical Storm within 24 hours.
