PAGASA Weather Forecast Update for Typhoon "RAMON" and New LPA as of 5:00 PM 19 November 2019.

Synposis: At 3:00 AM today, the eye of Typhoon "RAMON" {KALMAEGI} was estimated based on all available data including Aparri Doppler Radar at 120 km East of Calayan, Cagayan (19.1 °N, 122.6 °E), with maximum sustained winds of 120 km/h near the eye and gustiness of up to 150 km/h. It is moving West °Northwest at 10 km/h.
Low Pressure Area (LPA)
Issued at 2019 November 19 

At 10:00 AM today, the Low Pressure Area (LPA)  was estimated based on all available data at 720 km East of Guiuan, Eastern Samar (11.7 °N, 132.3 °E). This weather disturbance is likely to develop into  Tropical Depression and will be named "SARAH" within 24 hours.   This  LPA is not yet affecting any part of the country. However,   the   trough of this LPA will bring cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms  over Bicol Region and Eastern Visayas by tomorrow.   The public and disaster risk reduction and management offices concerned are advised to take appropriate actions and continue monitoring for updates, especially the Thunderstorm/Rainfall Advisories and Heavy Rainfall Warnings from PAGASA Regional Services Divisions.   The next advisory on this weather disturbance  will be issued at 11:00 AM tomorrow.
REGIONAL FORECAST:
Cagayan, Batanes, Isabela, Apayao, Kalinga and Ilocos Provinces will experience Stormy condition due to TY -Ramon-.  Possible floodings or landslides. Moderate to heavy damage due to strong winds.

The rest of Cordillera Administrative Region and of Ilocos Region will experience Occasional rains with gusty winds due to TY -Ramon-.  Possible floodings or landslides. Very light to light damage due to strong winds.

Aurora province and the rest of Cagayan Valley will experience Cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms due to TY - Ramon-.  Possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will experience Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers due to Localized Thunderstorms.  Possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms..

TY "RAMON" CONTINUES TO REMAIN ALMOST STATIONARY AND FURTHER INCREASE THE THREAT OVER BABUYAN ISLANDS.

Rainfall outlook for today (Tuesday): Moderate with frequent heavy rains over Batanes, the northern portion of Cagayan including the Babuyan Islands, Apayao and the northern portion of Ilocos Norte. Light to moderate with intermittent heavy rains over the northern portion of Isabela, Kalinga, Abra and the rest of Cagayan and Ilocos Sur.
