PAGASA Weather Forecast Update for New LPA as of 05:00 AM 16 August 2020.

SYNOPSIS: At 3:00 AM today, the Low Pressure Area (LPA) was estimated based on all available data at 225 km East Northeast of Casiguran, Aurora (17.2 °N, 124.0 °E).

Forecast Weather Conditions:

Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region, and the Ilocos provinces will experience cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms due to LPA. Possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate with at times heavy rains.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers mostly in the afternoon or evening due to Localized Thunderstorms. Possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.[1]
