SENATE UPDATES - 7 Priority Bills passed by the Senate.

Senate had already approved the seven priority bills

  1. Free Higher Education for All Act
  2. Country's accession to the Paris Agreement on climate change.
  3. Philippine Food Technology Act for the registration, licensure and practice of food technology.
  4. Philippine National Police reorganization to allow the PNP Chief and the CIDG to administer oath and issue subpoena duces tecum.
  5. Speech Language Pathology Act.
  6. Expanded Maternity Leave Law to give 120 days of maternity leave for female workers in government service and the private sector.
  7. National Technical Vocational Day - August 25
  8. Free internet access in all public places

SBN-1304: Free Higher Education for All Act

Free Higher Education Act - full tuition subsidy for college and university students and those in technical-vocational schools, both private and public.

Country's accession to the Paris Agreement on climate change. 

22 lawmakers voting “yes,” the Senate adopted a resolution concurring in the Philippines’ accession to the agreement, which aims to limit global warming below 2 degrees Celsius to prevent an irreversible rise in the planet’s temperature.
