Issued at:4:00 PM today, 18 December 2017 | SYNOPSIS: At 3:00 PM today,the center of Tropical Depression "URDUJA" (KAI-TAK)was estimated based on all available data at 115km Northwestof Puerto Princesa City, Palawan(10.6N, 118.2E) with maximum winds of 45 km/hnear the center and gustiness of up to 60 km/h. It is forecast to move West at 18 km/h. Tail-End of a Cold Front affecting the eastern section of Central Luzon.

ISSUED AT:11:00 AM, 18 December 2017 - "URDUJA" HAS CROSSED PALAWAN AND IS NOW MOVING TOWARDS WEST PHILIPPINE SEA. At 10:00 AM today, the center of Tropical Depression "URDUJA" was estimated based on all available data at 90 km North Northwest of Puerto Princesa City, Palawan (10.5 °N, 118.5 °E) with maximum sustained winds of 45 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 60 kph moving West at 18 kph and is expected to exit the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) between tomorrow morning and afternoon.
Scattered rains will continue over Palawan. Residents of these areas must undertake appropriate measures against flooding and landslides and coordinate with their local disaster risk reduction and management (DRRM) offices. Scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms ls expected over CALABARZON, Bicol region and provinces of Aurora, Mindoro, Marinduque and romblon. Sea travel is not advised over the seaboards of Palawan.

"URDUJA" HAS MADE LANDFALL OVER TAYTAY, PALAWAN. - At 7:00 AM today, the center of Tropical Depression "URDUJA" was estimated based on all available data at In the vicinity of Dumaran, Palawan (10.6 °N, 119.6 °E) with maximum sustained winds of 55 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 90 kph moving West at 18 kph. Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal #1 (30-60kph expected in 36 hrs) : PALAWAN. Tomorrow morning Urduja is expected 270 km West of Puerto Princesa City, Palawan(9.9°N, 115.8°E) and on wednesday morning: 285 km South Southwest of Pagasa Island, Palawan (OUTSIDE PAR)(8.7°N, 113.0°E).
