PAGASA Public Weather Update for LPA as of 4:00 AM 24 December 2018.

Synopsis: At 3:00 AM today, the Low Pressure Area (LPA) was estimated based on all available data at 80 km Northwest of Cuyo, Palawan (11.4 N, 120.5 E). Northeast Monsoon affecting Luzon.  According to Aldczar Aurelio, the LPA outside PAR is located at distance of 1,515 km east of Mindanao and is expected to develop into depression and may enter PAR tomorrow.

FORECAST WEATHER CONDITION



Visayas, MIMAROPA, Bicol Region, Davao Region and Caraga will experience Cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorm due to LPA.  Possible flash floods or landslides due to scattered light to moderate to at times heavy rains.

Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will experience Cloudy skies with light to moderate rains due to Northeast Monsoon.  No significant impact.

The rest of Mindanao will experience Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers due to Localized Thunderstorm.  Possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms..
